Just in case you missed it the first time around, Infestation airs again tonight on the SyFy channel at 7pm (check your local listings). Help Us Get Fanboys Released Wider [21 Jan 2009|07:50pm]

[ mood | determined ]

If you've followed what's going on with Fanboys, you will know that it's being released in the US on February 06, 2009. If you didn't, well, you know now.

The thing is, the Weinstein Company chose to only release it in 40 theaters in 8 cities initially. These cities are:

::: Austin, TX
::: Chicago, IL
::: Houston, TX
::: Los Angeles, CA
::: New York, NY
::: Philadelphia, PA
::: San Francisco, CA
::: Seattle, WA

Word is that it will expand to more cities and theaters if it does well in these eight cities. We're asking you to please help us make that happen. Click here to learn what you can do to help.

What Chris Has Been Up To [19 Jul 2008|12:56pm]

Someone mentioned yesterday to me (hello Diane!) that it's been a while since I've posted anything in this group. Time to rectify that, even though I reckon there aren't many active members in this group anymore.

Here's what Chris has been up to lately:
  • The big budget action movie I was talking about earlier is Race To Witch Mountain, a reimagining of the 1975 Disney Movie Escape To Witch Mountain. He plays the character Pope, a computer genius fresh out of MIT who's after the kids along with the other bad guys. The movie has finished filming and is now in post-production. Release date will be March 13, 2009.

  • Chris scored the lead role in the upcoming movie Kid Cannabis, a movie based on a true story about Nate Norman, a 19-year-old kid from Idaho who became a multi millionnaire through smuggling marijuana across the Canadian border. Chris will play the role of Nate. Filming is supposed to be begin in September, provided the impending actor's strike isn't going to commence.

  • The movies Graduation and Remember The Daze (formerly The Beautiful Ordinary) came out on DVD in May and June.

  • Looks like Fanboys is finally going to be released later this year. Earlier this year there was some controversy surrounding the final cut of the movie. The Weinstein Company wanted to get rid of the cancer storyline for the final cut, but online fan protests prompted them to change their mind. Kyle Newman is currently putting very last touches to it and said in a recent podcast that the movie is definitely going to be released in 2008. An advanced screening is planned for San Diego Comic Con next weekend.

Updates and new headshots [24 Mar 2008|12:16am]

Anyone still here who's interested in what Chris is up to? If so, he just sent us three awesome high-quality headshots. You can see them in our gallery:

Other than that, he'll start working on a new, big budget action movie soon (details to follow when announced) and he's also working on an internet TV show he created and wrote with some friends that'll go into production within the next few weeks.

Two of his movies that were shot a while ago (Graduation and Remember The Daze) are coming out on DVD in May and June and Infestation will hopefully hit the screens later this year or beginning of next year.

G4 TV interviewed Chris, Kyle Newman and Dan Fogler at this year's Comic Con about the movie Fanboys. It's not much, but at least we get a glimpse at Chris.
